The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking compassionate and dedicated Pediatricians to join established, collaborative pediatric teams in the communities of Swift Current, Moose Jaw, and Yorkton.

These full-time opportunities offer the chance to build a broad and rewarding pediatric practice while enjoying an exceptional quality of life. Physicians provide a diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, newborn care, and shared emergency call coverage. Working within well-supported multidisciplinary teams, pediatricians play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, family-centred care to children and youth across their communities.

Each community offers the benefits of a regional referral centre, with strong relationships between family physicians, obstetricians, emergency medicine physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated care. The successful candidates will participate in an equitable share of the pediatric on-call schedule, with additional compensation provided through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP).

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is committed to medical education and is proud to partner with the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, in training the next generation of physicians. Successful candidates will have opportunities to teach and mentor undergraduate medical students and residents and will be eligible for a faculty appointment with the College of Medicine.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Certification, or eligibility for certification, in Pediatrics with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

  • Regular or provisional licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage.

  • Valid driver's licence.

  • Successful Saskatchewan Health Authority credentialing, including satisfactory reference checks and a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.

  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Compensation

These are contracted positions with an annual remuneration of $500,871.37 CAD. Physicians also receive additional compensation for participation in the pediatric on-call schedule through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP).
