Clinician Practitioner

Excellence in leadership will be primarily demonstrated through an outstanding clinical practice that serves as a model environment for the education of trainees and the advancement of pediatric care. Candidates will have contributed to knowledge translation, dissemination of best practices, and leadership within their discipline while advancing high-quality care for children and youth.

Clinician Educator

Excellence in leadership will be primarily demonstrated through the advancement of educational innovation and practice that enhances the quality of teaching related to children and youth. Candidates will have influenced curriculum development, educational scholarship, and the broader culture of pediatric learning at local, national, or international levels.

Clinician Investigator

Excellence in leadership will be primarily demonstrated through the development of environments that foster opportunity and excellence in child and youth health research. Candidates will have advanced impactful research programs, supported emerging investigators, and strengthened the infrastructure and culture necessary to sustain pediatric research.

Emerging Leader

Excellence in leadership will be primarily demonstrated by a faculty member early in their academic career who has shown initiative, sound judgment, and meaningful influence within pediatrics. Candidates will demonstrate leadership through collaboration, role modeling, and early contributions that advance practice, education, research, or child health outcomes. This award recognizes individuals within 5 to 10 years of completing pediatric or subspecialty training, excluding periods of leave.

Quality Improvement

Excellence in leadership will be primarily demonstrated through sustained, data-driven contributions to quality improvement that meaningfully enhance pediatric care. Candidates will have led initiatives that improve patient safety, clinical outcomes, system effectiveness, patient and family experience, or health equity, with impact extending beyond routine quality activities. This award recognizes leaders whose long-term influence has advanced the culture and practice of quality improvement across pediatric settings.
